I have a blast on this as a mom of 6 boys. I weight only 108 so I am well under the 176 lb weight restriction. It honestly love the speed on this scooter as it feels like it is going fast and yet it states it has a max of 8.7 mph. I feel like the speed is perfect for having fun and also getting somewhere quickly. I wouldn’t want it faster as I already feel a little nervous sometimes on it. The two options of braking is a wonderful idea and I wouldn’t want to buy a scooter without the two options now that I have had them both. The foot brake works with your foot pressure and the hand brake button on the handlebar is easy to access and works incredibly well at stopping it from full speed. The lights are super cool on this as there is a headlight and then fun decorative visibility lights which I find to be such a great addition since I ride this at night a lot around my neighborhood. You can be seen very easily and the headlights helps with seeing ahead of you and being safe. It charges easily with the included cord and fairly quickly. I do have to say this scooter holds a charge very well. It takes me a very long time before I need to charge it. The wheels are smooth and the turning radius is smooth as well. I am very happy with the folding mechanism. You simply pull up at the base of the handlebar and it folds down. It is quite compact and yet fits me as an adult so it a versatile scooter especially with the three height options for the handle (34”, 37”, 39”). I am 5’3” and I am comfortable with the 39” height. My 5’11” son just has to bend a little to reach them but he said he’s comfortable and it doesn’t bother him.
I can’t say enough of how well built and sturdy this Simate electric scooter is made. It is heavy duty. I fully recommend this. It is worth the price. I am quite impressed by the quality and am glad I chose this.
